Thulium Oxalate has specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers, also is the important dopant for fibre amplifiers. Thulium Oxalate is highly insoluble in water and converts to the Oxide when heated (calcined). It can also be used in portable X-ray devices that has been bombarded in a nuclear reactor as a radiation source.
